"Learn to do good.
Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows."
— Isaiah 1:17
This verse in the book of Isaiah instructs us to respond to the "orphan" of our day. In fact God’s passion for the orphans is so evident throughout scripture that He actually defines who He is by His promises to provide for them:
"Father to the fatherless, defender of widows — this
is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy!"
— Psalm 68:5-6
We may not be able to save all the orphans in this world —
that we grant you. But all of us are able to do something that
can significantly alter the life of one child whom God loves and treasures.
God calls different people to different things. The staff and volunteers in Romania have been called, very specifically to be “missionaries,” but that is not the extent of who we are. The people at home who support us through prayer, financial and awareness support are just as important. We invite you to consider reaching out to this special group of people who are in desperate need of protection, provision and permanent solutions by becoming a part of our team.
