Dear Friends,
As you know at the beginning of this year God inspired our
ministry to start a Children’s choir with orphaned children and begin
the journey of taking them from silence, loneliness, and rejection into
a world of music, hope and faith. Our goal was to raise the resources
needed to build a “Safe PLACE.” This emergency
placement home will provide temporary protective housing for 8-10 children
while we raise more foster families to receive these orphaned children
into their families – to love, nurture, and prepare them for a secure
and promising future.
It will cost $250,000 to purchase and furnish this home and
we are excited to announce that we have currently raised $97,000 towards
this final goal.
It was great meeting you all this past April on the choir
tour! Cornel and I, as well as the orphan children and our staff,
were overwhelmed by the warmth, love, kindness and generosity that were
extended to each of us.
We want to thank you for your loving partnership and for
being a part of this journey of faith together with us. We would
appreciate your continued prayers as we wait on the Lord for the remaining
resources. The slow road of government reform is cementing orphaned
children inside walls of pain and destruction, and as long as they remain
in institutions, they continue to suffer.
