The Discipleship Transformation Center
Our goal for the next two years is to raise funds to purchase a piece of land. Our vision is to build a Discipleship Transformation Center (DTC) in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. For the past twenty-five years, we have hosted orphan youth camps throughout Romania at various rented facilities. We continue to notice that the impact of our camping ministry has been remarkable. The natural setting offers wonderful opportunities for evangelism, discipleship and the formation of important relationships.
As funds become available, we would like to begin the building of the DTC where we will facilitate camps and spiritual retreats for our church communities and the orphans in our foster care and orphan mentoring programs. This center will provide our ministry with a central location for teaching, discipleship, and practical ministry. Being in one location will help us reduce our costs and will also enable us to develop a sustainability model for our ministry as we could make parts of this dream center available to other community and church groups across the nation. Furthermore, we have plans to host our mission’s teams on site, and they can help us develop and improve the facility each year.
As we celebrate our 25th year anniversary of mission work in Romania, we would like to plant seeds of vision for the next 25 years. We want to leave a legacy of sustainable service for the people that are and will be part of our team for years to come.
Our goal for 2020 is to raise $175,000 to purchase 20 acres of land in Romania, next to a national park, that could be used for hiking, biking, ATVing, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, etc. After we have the land, we would invite construction teams to help us build the facilities. Acquiring this piece of land is the first step towards realizing our dream of creating the Discipleship Transformation Center.
For the last 25 years, we have invested in people. In 2020, we would like to continue this investment, but also invest in this much-needed ministry site. Will you come alongside us in this journey of faith to broaden the scope of our work in Romania? I pray you do!
